Bran Banana Bread
2 c. regular all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. mashed, fully ripe bananas
1 1/2 c. Kellogg’s All-Bran cereal or Bran Buds cereal
1/2 c. regular margarine or butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. coarsely chopped nuts (optional)
Variations:
2 1/2 cups Kellogg’s 40% Bran Flakes may be substituted for the All-Bran cereal.
To substitute Kellogg’s Cracklin’ Bran cereal for the All-Bran cereal, crush
1 1/2 cups Cracklin’ Bran cereal and decrease sugar to 1/2 cup.
